How is Shambrarian International Organised?
We are founded on fascist-anarchist-democracy principles. We are currently a not for profit organisation, but not from want of trying.

I would like a role or be on a committee?
Our committee system is a little like groups on Facebook, but perhaps with less structure and more choice.
By asking to be a committee or a particular role you are de facto the chair of the committee and occupier of that role. Congratulations.
Do you have any special terminology?
All members are referred to as The Chair and The President. We're not sure if will affect the decision making process as we've never actually made any decisions.
What's your line when it comes to Information Literacy / Resources Discovery / Indexing and Metadata / Classification?
What's your relationship with CILIP?
It was late, we were bit lonely and had too much to drink. It was just a one off ok?
PS we still love them.
What's you relationship with CAMRA?
Despite persistent (well one) rumours they are not our militant wing.
What's your view of MARC?
MARC will go down in history as something that was once very important to our profession. Indeed it already has.
It was a great Machine readable standard so long as you didn't want to do any crazy shit like add it to a relational database or use standard data manipulation tools.
MARC continues to be a good excuse for drinking.
